Oh ! I too much jump the gun. Let me start again from the beginning :

On this month of celebrations, the 18th of December we could celebrate the fifth birthday of the Who iz Who, a festival initiated by Anik Arnold. It began with a week of workshop around the different kind of danc and a preview Saturday with the preselections.

Sunday, after one hour of latency, we were lucky to finally enter in the Cabaret Sauvage which looked like a ring of Lions. Youval started the show with a short presentation of the Who iz Who, a little part of the Bible, and his personal view of Hip-hop. DJ Puu, DJ Yayo and DJ Jawz prepared themselves to fire the battle.

The juges composed of Sugar Rae, Bboy Meda, Big Wave, Marvin, Nelson, Naim and Ben Wichert settled down on their chairs & the battle started with Antoinette vs Jualito in Lockin. Some of the battles were poetics, technics. It was very interestin to analyze how the dancers answered to theirs opponents.

During the interval, dancers enjoyed themselves in the cercle, dancing for the pleasure ; Ness and Legacy came sing a rap and the crew Vertyfight proved that Electro is the dance which can be integrate to Hip-hop battle. The break finish. Sugar Rae with his M.J’jacket opened the Judges’demontrations before the finals… Big Wave was during a few minutes the definition of krumpin, Meda & Ben Wichert successively made stunning demonstrations, Naim was stirring, Nelson began to dance and then joined by Marvin, they formed an unexpected and surprising duet. Further to it, we had the happiness to assist the finals following ones:

- Lock : Jualito vs Willow

- Break : Junior vs Phenixou

- Krump : Liveness vs Wolf

- Newstyle : Fabrice vs Kefton

- Poppin : Cintia vs Sally Sly

- House : Frankwa vs Kaji

The public was excited, the challengers made powerful steps and even if the organisation wasn’t very clear, the Who iz Who managed to gather a lot of personalities around a common event. And it’s on the perform of Michael &Cynthia followed by a presentation of the champions, that we were able to put a name on every titles in game; and by it know who was who this Sunday.

Dancers, never say die.
